OUR STORY

Russ and Sarah met in high school in 2005 in Newark, California. After spending time together “as friends,” it didn’t take long before they realized there was something more between them.

They made things official on April 23, 2006, and have been inseparable ever since.

Two fun facts about their early days: Russ asked Sarah’s father for permission to date her, and Russ was also the first to say “I love you”… over the phone while Sarah was “asleep.”

If you’re wondering why this love story took so long to become official, both Russ and Sarah had big dreams after graduating high school and college. Their twenties were spent growing, pursuing their goals, and figuring out life together.

In 2018, they faced their first real rough patch and nearly went their separate ways. But deep down, they both knew their story wasn’t over.

In 2022, they made a big decision to follow a dream and move to Los Angeles together. It was there that they experienced their greatest growth as a couple and truly matured as individuals.

After building a life together in a new city, Russ knew it was finally time to begin the next chapter. On November 29, 2025, he proposed to Sarah in San Jose, California, surrounded by their closest loved ones.

Now, after 20 years together, Russ and Sarah are excited to celebrate the next step of their journey as they tie the knot on Friday, October 9, 2026 in Somis, California, once again surrounded by the people they love most.
